Disney's Yacht Club Resort Review

I may have a small bias previously working at this resort, but it is one of my absolute favorites on Disney property. I had the opportunity to stay here during my most recent trip to Walt Disney World. I was attending a conference that was taking place at the Yacht Clubs conference center. I jumped on the opportunity to stay at my favorite place since we had a discount on rooms. Even with a discount, the price was about $313 a night. This resort is considered one of the more adult friendly resorts, but families will enjoy staying here as well.

The Yacht Club is a Deluxe category resort, meaning it is one of the most expensive. Standard rates start at $420 a night, which is very pricey for a hotel in my opinion (poor college student here). It is located in the EPCOT resort area. You are able to walk into the International Gateway entrance of EPCOT and take a 15 minute boat ride to Hollywood Studios. It is going under a small refurb currently with rooms and some food options. They are in the process of adding another quick service food location, expanding the coffee bar area, and shrinking the Captain's Grille.

The resort is themed New-England yacht club style, it is one of the most beautiful interiors at a Disney resort. It hosts the best pool of any Disney property, Stormalong Bay. There are many food options available at the resort and at its sister resort, the Beach Club. I was booked in a Garden View room. The darling cast member who checked me in made sure to pick the best room available for me. I ended up on the second floor with a wonderful view. The room had 2 queen beds and a couch that can fit another person. Here are some pictures of the room for your reference.

I didn’t end up in a refurbishment room, but I didn’t mind because this resort really is wonderful as is. Have you ever had the chance to stay here? What did you think?

As a little girl, I went to Disneyland a few times, but my true love of Disney sparked my freshman year of college. I had the chance to do a quick weekend trip to Disneyland with two friends. During this trip, I fell completely back in love with the entirety of the Walt Disney Company. It was then a few months later, my family ventured to the opposite coast and visited WDW. Here I met a CP, who inspired me to start my own Disney Journey. A few years later, I can’t get enough of Disney (ask anyone who knows me)!

I have been extremely blessed to become a Disneyland AP holder, Walt Disney World AP holder, go on a Disney Cruise, and visit Hong Kong Disneyland. In 2018, I will be visiting Disneyland Paris. I plan on eventually visiting Tokyo Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland.

I love all things Disney food, Disney merch, and Disney entertainment. You can usually find me in the park, drinking a coke and waiting for a show or parade. If you ever see me, be sure to say hello! I love making new Disney Friends.
