Disney Movies to Watch with Your Date

The thing that makes Disney movies so special is that they can appeal to all people with their adventure, laughs, heart, action, and occasionally foot-tapping songs. This makes them great companions for you and your date on your cozy night-in! So grab your popcorn and a seat as I go through my top Disney movie picks to watch with your date!

First, I would like to share some choices for a fun, still-getting-to-know-each-other date with the opportunities for laughs and adventure rather than smooshy romantic because you can’t marry a man you just met!

Zootopia

This is one of my favorite movies for some laughs like Judy and Nick’s trip to the slothful DMV (gets me every time) and all the wonderful puns with Duke Weselton’s “fresh off the presses” movie knock-offs. Zootopia is the perfect choice for a fun, crime-solving adventure with a little dash of heart. (I am kind of biased for this movie because this was the first movie that my husband and I watched when we first hung out together!)

The Incredibles

If you and your date love movies with awesome music, kickbutt action, and superheroes, then The Incredibles is the movie for you! Being my all time favorite Pixar movie, The Incredibles gives you and your date the chance to watch some superhero action sprinkled with mystery and a glimpse into married life where one of you is constantly wondering, “where is my supersuit?!”

Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl

To finish off my list of fun, action-packed movies to watch with your date, look no further than the swashbuckling, sword-fighting, and ghost filled Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. I mean who doesn’t love pirates like Captain Jack Sparrow and Will Turner running around “commandeering” ships around the Caribbean? You and your date will have a blast laughing at Jack’s bumblings and Elizabeth’s explanations of why the rum is gone all while singing “Yo ho yo ho a pirate’s life for me” your whole way home!

Now for the movie night with your true love sweetheart (not one you have just met), here are some more romantic Disney movies that will have you cuddling with your date all night long.

Lady & the Tramp

I don’t even know if I have to explain this pick! Lady & the Tramp is the ultimate classic romantic Disney movie with that iconic spaghetti date scene while the notes of Bella Notre are fluttering on the breeze. You and your date will be making goo-goo eyes at each other all night while you watch Lady and Tramp challenging each other to venture outside of their comfort zones and saving one another from trouble. This classic Disney masterpiece is the perfect movie to snuggle up with your honey and hopefully inspire the next date night of spaghetti kisses under the stars.

Tangled

This next Disney pick is the perfect combination for you and your date of picture perfect romantic scenes like the lanterns on the lake and adventure with laughs as Rapunzel and Eugene run away from guards, over-enthusiastic horses, and mothers who think they know best. You and your date will be dying to practice your smoulder in the mirror and sing about your dreams even before the movie is over!

Cinderella (live Action)

For my final pick, I look no further than a modern take on a classic Disney story, Cinderella. This is a movie that will leave you and your date believing in courage and kindness as well as polished, ballroom-ready dance steps. Ella and Kit’s love story of accepting people for who they truly are is a great example for you and your true love to continue your love story into your happily ever after.
